Christopher Rowe

I've published a couple of dozen stories, have been a finalist for all of the major science fiction and fantasy literary awards (Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy), seen my work frequently reprinted, translated into a half-dozen languages around the world, and praised by the New York Times Book Review. One of my recent stories, "Another World For Map is Faith" made the long list in the 2007 Best American Short Stories volume, while my early fiction was collected in a chapbook, "Bittersweet Creek," by Small Beer Press of Northampton, Massachusetts. I recently signed the contracts for my first novel, and am represented by Shana Cohen of the Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency in New York.I'm a graduate of the Clarion West Writing Workshop and a regular attendee of the Sycamore Hill Workshop for speculative fiction professionals. I regularly teach science fiction and fantasy writing classes at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning.I live in a hundred-year-old house in Lexington, Kentucky, with my wife Gwenda Bond, Hemingway the Cat, Emma the Dog, and Puck the Dog.
