Ann Gosslin

Ann Gosslin is an American author of mystery and suspense novels.

Ann Gosslin was born and raised in New England. She has been fascinated by storytelling from an early age, with a particular interest in foreign lands, cultural dislocation, and the dynamics that arise when two people from opposing sides interact.

After leaving University, she moved overseas. Gosslin has held several full-time roles in the pharmaceutical industry, with stints as a teacher and translator in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Her lifelong passion for psychology and psychiatry is evident in her fiction, which often delves into the darker aspects of human nature, the influence of the past on the present, the fluidity of memory, and how family history shapes identity and self-perception.

Before sending the draft of her first novel, Ann Gosslin took the six-week online Edit & Pitch Your Novel course of Curtis Brown Creative in 2017.

Ann Gosslin's debut novel, The Shadow Bird, a work of psychological suspense, was published in 2020. The Shadow Bird is about a psychiatrist who must overcome her troubled past to uncover the truth about a patient locked up for a brutal crime.

Her second novel, The Double, a mystery/suspense set in a remote psychiatric clinic in the Swiss Alps, came out in 2021.

Ann Gosslin currently works as a freelancer and lives in Switzerland.
