Liam Brown

Liam Brown is a British writer, filmmaker, and former life model. His work has been published internationally, translated into several languages, and optioned by a Hollywood studio.

Liam Brown was born and grew up in Birmingham. After leaving school, he spent "five years working a series of increasingly dead-end jobs," before attending the University of Greenwich.

In 2010 he received the de Rohan Scholarship, which allowed him to study for an MA in creative writing at Oxford Brookes University.

His debut novel Real Monsters was published in 2015 and long-listed for the Guardian’s Not the Booker Prize.

His second novel, Wild Life (2016), tells the story of Adam, who has lost his impressive advertising job but keeps his wife and kids in the dark. Adam is taken in by a secret collective living off the grid — and then his troubles really begin. Broadcast (2017) and Skin (2019) followed.

His most recent, Evergreens, came out in 2023. Evergreens is a thought-provoking tale that forces readers to contemplate the preciousness of life and the significance of embracing its imperfections.

Liam Brown lives in Birmingham with his wife and two children.
