Zoë Jenny

Zoë Jenny is a best-selling Swiss author. Her first novel, The Pollen Room (1997), has been translated into 27 languages.

Zoë Jenny was born in Basel, Switzerland, and spent parts of her childhood in Greece and Ticino. She published stories, essays, and short stories in various literary magazines while still at school.

Her highly successful debut, Das Blütenstaubzimmer (The Pollen Room), came out in 1997. Zoë Jenny won the Aspekte-Literaturpreis and the Jürgen Ponto Foundation Prize. The Pollen Room is the all-time best-selling debut novel by a Swiss author.

The debut book also propelled her across the globe for readings and talks in schools and universities as far away as Japan, China, and the USA.

Her second fiction, Der Ruf des Muschelhorns, followed in 2000. Zoë Jenny has written further novels, a children's book, and various columns for different magazines.

The Sky is Changing was her first written in English and was published by Legend Press in 2010.

Zoë Jenny lived in New York, Berlin, and London. She now resides in Vienna.
