What if the greatest lost fragment of the ancient world was never destroyed — only hidden?

In The Search for the Lost Head of the Colossus of Rhodes, writer and reluctant investigator Dui Tablas arrives on Rhodes expecting memory, light, and peace. Instead, he is pulled into a deadly web of murder, smuggling, vanished archives, secret tunnels, and one of the most explosive archaeological secrets in history.

When a panicked courier accidentally swaps bags with him at the harbor, Dui finds himself in possession of impossible cargo: a specimen labeled “Silphium — Not Extinct”, a black notebook filled with coded routes and botanical formulas, and stolen research connected to his missing mentor, Dr. Elias Vakos. At the heart of the mystery lies a revelation that could rewrite the history of the Mediterranean: the severed head of the Colossus of Rhodes, with its legendary golden eyes, may still rest beneath the island in a hidden subterranean chamber.

As Dui joins forces with archaeologist Elena Kallistrati and Interpol investigator Sofia Marceau, the search turns into a high-stakes race through the fortified Old Town of Rhodes, fascist archives, abandoned mountain settlements, submerged cave systems, and ancient Hospitaller tunnels. Powerful men are willing to kill not only for the lost treasure of Helios, but for control of a resurrected plant once worth more than silver.

Blending archaeology, conspiracy, Mediterranean history, and modern transnational crime, The Search for the Lost Head of the Colossus of Rhodes is a suspense-driven thriller about empire, memory, buried worlds, and the dangerous afterlife of ancient power.
