Alan Fadling

Alan Fadling is an American author and spiritual consultant who has written several books on Christian spirituality and leadership. He is the founder and president of Unhurried Living, Inc., a company that helps Christian leaders rediscover Jesus' unhurried way of life and leadership.

Alan Fadling completed his Bachelor of Arts in Bible/Biblical Studies at Simpson University. At Fuller Theological Seminary, he earned a Master of Divinity in Spiritual Formation & Leadership Development.

His career has involved speaking at various organizations and providing consultancy services. These organizations include Saddleback Church, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and Open Doors International.

His books focus on spirituality and leadership. The debut, An Unhurried Life: Following Jesus Rhythms of Work and Rest, was published in 2013. The purpose of this work is to introduce readers to the idea of living a life paced by the work and rest of Jesus.

In 2017, Fadling released An Unhurried Leader: The Lasting Fruit of Daily Influence. This book builds on the principles of his first work, applying them specifically to leadership.

What Does Your Soul Love? Eight Questions That Reveal God’s Work in You, co-authored with Gem Fadling, came out in 2019. It explores eight key questions to aid personal spiritual growth.

In 2022, Fadling published A Year of Slowing Down: Daily Devotions for Unhurried Living. Readers will find daily devotions to help them slow down and live more unhurriedly.

His most recent book, A Non-Anxious Life: Experiencing the Peace of God's Presence (2024), addresses the issue of anxiety in modern life and offers a spiritual approach to finding peace.

Alan Fadling has also appeared on radio programs and podcasts discussing his work and the principles of unhurried living. He has consulted with leadership teams from different organizations and ministries. Fadling has led strategic retreats for leaders and retreats for churches and non-profit organizations.

His consulting services extend to coaching authors, organizational leaders, and individuals passionate about living and leading with spiritual depth. Fadling offers sabbatical guidance and ideas for fostering a healthy spiritual culture within organizations.

He is also a guest speaker at events for leadership, churches, ministries, non-profit boards, and universities.
