Rudolph Bader was born in Switzerland, where he studied English and German literatures and linguistics as well as Islamic studies and near eastern languages. He has lived and worked as a researcher and university professor in many countries including Canada, Australia, Germany and Switzerland. He published many scholarly books, translated Shakespeare, trained teachers and initiated many cultural projects in Europe and in India. His first novel was The Prison of Perspective (3rd edition 2016). He lives in East Sussex and in Switzerland.
