This is a series of linked short stories that form a novel and the prequel to Hope's most famous book, The Prisoner of Zenda. This book is set 100 years before the second book and features the extremely beautiful Princess Osra, who is so amazingly beautiful that men cannot help falling in love with her, to their cost.
