When I started getting the hang of cryptocurrency trading, I started doing researches before buying any coin to know if they have potential to increase or not and not waste my time waiting for it to rise.

Another research tool I use is the Block Explorer of these coins. Some may have rich lists or largest wallet tabs. Keep tabs on movements within these addresses. Are the largest wallets getting larger over time or are they being depleted? I then screenshot the top 25 richest addresses, and a few days later I will screenshot the top 25 again. Compare the lists and determine if the coins are being accumulated?

THEN I WILL READ THROUGH the announcement itself to find out where the coin has come from and where it is heading —I focus on their roadmaps, Slack and telegram channels, active devs and their Twitter page. Now I will go over to their website and have a look at their explorers.

I usually end up removing the coins from the list of remaining ones that do not have at least a decent standard for all of the above

I usually ️head over to Bitcointalk, and read through the announcement threads of every single coin that I have left on my list.

I ALSO NOTE DOWN THEIR 24H VOLUME. Then I will cross out the coins that are lower than 2% market cap to volume ratio (e.g., If X has a market cap of $100k, it’s 24H volume should be $2000 or more).

I also note down all the coins below this market capital mark with low to medium coin supply (i.e., less than 50m)

MARKET CAP and I will scroll all the way down to the coins with smaller market cap less than $250,000 (these are the coins that can be the mega-winners over time).
