Quinn McCracken—ex-cop, ex-con, and unlicensed private investigator—is a man fueled by regret and just enough grit to keep going. He's not looking for redemption, until Diana Prinzes walks through his door, young, ambitious, and carrying a P.I. license he no longer qualifies for.
Their uneasy partnership is tested fast when a hand-off on Pier 31 goes wrong. A simple job spirals into a storm of corruption and dead bodies, one of whom has ties that reach disturbingly close to home.
As the press clashes with City Hall, Quinn and Diana are dragged deeper into a case that will challenge everything they thought they knew about the city, the system, and each other.
A razor-sharp neo-noir thriller, REDEMPTION is the first book in the Half Moon Bay Mysteries series by Mark Reps.
