The book is just about two junkies who are heading to Vegas in order to reach "American dream" and their adventures and fuck-ups during it.

It is a cheap catchall for fuckoffs and misfits- a false doorway to the backside of life, a filthy pissridden little hole nailed off by the building inspector, but just deep enough for a wine to curl up from the sidewalk and masturbate like a chimp in a zoocage.
